With so many associations focussing on peace or fighting violence, is it worthwhile supporting yet another one?

The answer is certainly yes if it brings new ideas and new approaches that can contribute to these two goals - and, specifically, provide guidemarks and human values to children and youth in positive ways.

The answer is again yes because, while it can be quite easy to believe in peace, it's less obvious to come up with peace reflexes in case of aggression.

Yes, definitely, because we can each contribute to ensuring that current violence doesn't spiral upwards and become uncontrolable.

Your support will encourage Grains of Peace and enable us to develop tools and activities that will help many other persons in your environment and around the world to focus on human values and through these, to refuse violence and achieve peace.

You can support us in many ways:

If you're a private person:

• with a donation  

• by becoming an active member or an occasionally participating member

• by proposing a quotation on-line, or a quiz, some humour, a peace hero bio by e-mail to us.

• by writing texts for us such as a peace tale or a bedtime story or a fun sketch illustrating human values for children

• by writing your own life-changing story away from violence

Offres de bénévolat

Graines de Paix propose aux étudiants un éventail d’activités bénévoles. Les étudiants qui y participent peuvent donner libre cours à leur créativité et rencontrer des personnes de même sensibilité dans une ambiance de bonne humeur. Graines de Paix fournit une attestation de bénévolat décrivant les tâches accomplies et pouvant servir comme annexe au CV.

Activités bénévoles possibles :

1. participer au Programme Sport et valeurs humaines :

• animations de sensibilisation autour du sport - pour les jeunes

• animations de sensibilisation autour de jeux  - pour les enfants

• invention de jeux de sensibilisation ludiques

• Résumés de textes illustrant les effets positifs possibles du sport sur les rapports humains, pour en donner accès au plus grand nombre via le site web

2.  participer à la conception/rédaction des matériaux pédagogiques.

3.  animer et/ou contribuer :

• au Groupe Contenus du site web (sondages, interviews, devinettes, humour,
  définitions du Dictionnaire, Citations, etc.)

• au Groupe Animation du Forum

• au Groupe Médias (rédaction d’articles en réponse à l’actualité)

 4. mettre en place une société de débats dans votre université  axée sur les
   valeurs humaines et la paix dans le choix des sujets et dans l'argumentation

     Les sociétés de débat universitaires que soutient Graines de Paix sont celles qui
    aiment l’idée de faire ressortir, dans le choix des thèmes et dans l’argumentation,
    l’effet d’appliquer ou non les valeurs humaines et la contribution ou non à la paix
    (sociale ou géopolitique) de leurs arguments, cela quel que soit le thème (politique,
   social, économique, culturel, religieux, etc.).

 5. faire le suivi d’un pays où Graines de Paix est en relation.
    (France, Cameroun, Maroc, Palestine, Israël, …)

Regarding dues, these depend on whether there is a Grains of Peace branch office in your country* or not (yet).

• If there is one, dues are collected locally to finance local Grains of Peace activities.

• If there isn't one, please send your dues by check or bank transfer either to our EURO account in Switzerland (if your account is in Euros) or for all other currencies, to our Swiss Franc account.

• If you'd like to help us set one up in your country, please contact us and we'll call you back.
