Definition and levels of violence
When we talk about violence, we state that it's unacceptable because it goes against respecting the very human-ness of other humans, but of which type of violence are we talking about, and of what level of gravity?

Definition of violence
Violence is defined as the violation of the physical, moral and psychological integrity of another person or another group.
Levels of violence
One can say that there are four different levels of violence :
mortal
disabling, not healable
wounding, but healable
benign (but one can't talk about inconsequent, i.e. having no consequences, since one can never know of the psychological consequences that may appear later).
These four levels don't limit themselves to physical violence. They concern just as much moral and psychological violence. Each of these can result in just an annoyance, or a more lasting wound or a permanent disablement or provoke death.
